CINEMA 21:9

I have gotten a couple of request from people asking me if I knew “HOW TO STITCH PICTURES” and rotoscope it into a video such as Tpains “Rap Song” which contains lots of scenes frozen in time a la Matrix and Max Paynes (The Awesome video game, not the shitty movie!) Bullet time effects…

What most people seem not to know is that Tpain’s video although amazing is not the first time it has been done nor is it still images just stitched together, (Well in theory yeah) but it is shot on a super duper fast camera and then composited, added light touches of flares added with all the other elements such as bullet shell cases, smoke, fire, water and so forth…

50 Cent attempted to ride on the coat train of the original footage which is actually a commercial for a Phillips TV AD for their 21:9 aspect ratio series.
But not just any everyday TV AD, Not even a Super Bowl AD is on its par. This is a true epic short who I dare to say was the really first in using such a treat for marketing (Someone correct me if I am wrong).

As a promotional piece for the Philips 21:9 they have released a sick short film that uses innovative movie making to move a camera through an explosive bank robbery… but the entire shot is a frozen moment in time! YOU GOTTA SEE THIS:

I have included all the videos of the making of the commercial along with the final product along with Tpain’s video and 50’s attempt as well.

the short film Directed by Adam Berg called “CAROUSEL”.
